Letter From L. V. Wyrick Of Athens, Texas, For Prison Comrades From Elmira, New York.

L. V. Wyrick, of Athens, Tex., would like to hear from some of the boys who were in Elmira prison with him, in Ward 51, and especially from Hiram Parrett and Tom Loyd, with whom he bunked. He was captured on May 10, 1864, and sent to Point Lookout, then to Elmira on August 17, 1864, and did not get out until June 27, 1865. He mentions several boys from Tennessee-fine young men, he says-among them being Ira Hibbetts, Ben Hill, Hugh Phillips, Billy Stevens, San Collins, Dave Harbeson, Perry Cole, Hiram Parrett, and Tom Loyd.
